YoNaturals Business Says “We’re Fat”

YoNaturals Business is Health No Comments »

Have any of you been to Atlantic City recently?  On the boardwalk or in the casinos one thing remains constant besides most everyone losing their inheritances—we are fat.  Kids, parents, senior citizens, craps players, poker players—we have shapes that look like a clown twisted us together with a bunch of balloons.  So many people look as if they’re in pain, struggling to breathe, limping, waddling, holding on to anything for support.  The city feels like purgatory or a perpetual re-watching of Dawn of the Dead and smells like…let’s not get into that.

Some people may argue that all body types are beautiful; maybe so, but we at YoNaturals Business know for sure that not all body types are healthy.  Obesity and smoking are epidemics in our country.  They’re astronomically serious, and their seriousness is undervalued because many people take magical pills, such as diuretics or statins or both, that they think are solving their problems—but really they’re putting their problems on the back burner and pushing the easy button (just like that commercial).  Many people go on diets for a couple of weeks here, another couple weeks there, and after six months they look at themselves and nothing has changed.  We can’t just go on diets, take pills, and expect our lives to change—we have to change our whole diet, our whole way of approaching our days—we need to change the way we live.

We need to start eating healthier, trying to eat organic or local produce whenever we can.  We need to exercise—and forget about how excruciatingly painful that word sounds:  Exercise.  If you don’t like that word, don’t use it.  Use another word like play, as in play golf, but instead of riding in a cart, walk.  Say today I’m going to feel the excitement of having more energy as I ride my bike to the store to get some pasta and vegetables.  We need to stop eating so much food.  Please, work on smaller portions, we don’t need to stuff ourselves to the brink of pain.  We’re not wasting the food if we save it for later.  Eat smaller portions more times a day; studies have shown this to be more beneficial for our overall health.  Why do we still smoke?  Do we still think there is an ounce of possibility that it’s not going to kill us?  Yeah sure, many things can or are killing us, but sickness and death by smoking is clear and definite.

Back to Atlantic City:  if any of us are having trouble walking up five stairs from the hallway to the casino and we’re under seventy-five then we must take a look at ourselves and ask if putting money in that slot machine is going to give us our health back.  How fun can winning the jackpot actually be if we can’t do anything to experience the money?  Sure, there still is the satisfaction of winning and beating the house, but maybe if we asked ourselves these questions, we would skip the gambling and go spend more time outside on the beach chasing our grandkids. Try a YoNaturals healthy vending machine, and give your business to a company that gives back to your health.

Organic food is the food derived from animals and plants that have been grown and raised in accordance with the strict guidelines associated with government’s definition of the term, “organic.” In order to be certified as an organic food, food must be grown without the use of products such as manufactured fertilizers, synthetic or man-made pesticides, additives that control or modify growth, antibodies, and/or and livestock feed containing additives.
Organic Foods Once Just a Niche Market

It wasn’t that long ago that “eating organic” was something only a relatively small number of people did. Back in the 1960’s, life was changing. Women were beginning to work outside the home and the trend then was convenience. Processed foods meant a good meal could be delivered to the table in a fraction of the time. The market for frozen and processed foods literally took off.

Organic food was definitely not something that most people gave much attention to especially since there no longer was enough time to visit the butcher, the produce vendor and the dairy farm. A quick trip to the supermarket could now provide a family with enough food for several days. And that’s how life continued, fueled by the need for speed and convenience.

Organic Foods Go Mainstream

Lately, people’s feelings towards the foods they eat are changing once again. This time, the change is being fueled by the feeling that people no longer know what they’re putting into their bodies. The news today is filled with stories of E. coli outbreaks, genetic food engineering, the potential dangers of eating foods that are shot up with growth hormones to make them bigger and better, and other frightening information. Tired of feeling out of control, eating organic has become chic and has definitely become the latest trend in eating among people from all levels of society.

True organic food is more expensive than non-organic food, but the trade-offs are well worth the additional cost. Not only is organic food better for those who consume it, the people who eat organic foods claim these foods actually taste better than those grown and raised without this strict definition. In fact, eating organic is the best way and really is the only way to feel 100% confident about the foods that are consumed.

Meeting the New Demand

Today, organic food is big business and an ever-growing segment of the food industry. Farmers are changing the way they grow their foods to take advantage of this increased demand. Unfortunately for produce growers, it can take up to 2 full years for the land to cleanse itself of the synthetic pesticides and fertilizers that have been applied during all the years prior to growing organic. But the wait is a worthwhile trade-off as well.

What Are The Benefits Of Organic Food

There is much discussion today about the pros and cons of organic food. People want to know whether organic food is better than non-organic food. They wonder whether the term “organic” is nothing more than the latest money-making marketing term being thrown about. They question the regulatory oversight bodies that determine whether the food that’s labeled organic really meets all of the criteria. These are difficult questions to answer with certainty especially since the answers often depend on who is asked. Regardless, there are several very real benefits of consuming organic food. Here is an overview of the most common.

Organic Food Tastes Better

The people who eat organic food claim that organic food is more flavorful and studies have actually been conducted that confirm this belief. The chemicals that are used in the production of non-organic food definitely affect flavor.

Organic Food is Better for the Body

The United States Environmental Protection Agency now lists many of the chemicals used in the production of pesticides and fungicides as potential cancer-causing components. It makes sense then, that when non-organic foods are consumed, so too are these cancer-causing ingredients. Since these types of chemicals cannot be used to grow organic foods, they simply are not present and therefore, they cannot be ingested. Eating organic foods won’t unfortunately prevent cancer because there are plenty of genetic and environmental factors that can cause it to develop. However eating organic food greatly reduces the chance that certain cancers will develop.

In addition, organically-grown produce contains up to 50% more of the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants the body needs to stay healthy and perform at optimum capacity. If you’re trying to add more fruit and vegetables to your diet, you can double the benefits by eating organic ones.

You Can Feel Good about What You Eat

When you eat organic food, you know what you’re not getting. You know you’re not eating food that’s been genetically altered or shot up with growth hormones and antibodies. You know that the skins of your fruits and vegetables aren’t a thick covering of chemicals and other harmful ingredients. The bottom line: You know that you are fueling your body with healthy fuel. Centuries ago, people did not have as many health-related issues as they do in these more modern times. Plenty of people feel it is our food that is killing us.
